Hemp Milk

Hemp seeds are truly nutritious, and one of their best uses is in the production of non-dairy milk – a vegan milk alternative – Hemp Milk. So let's share our recipe for hemp milk, read on…

Used by some as a alternative base in soap making, and others as an alternative milk source, producing hemp milk is very simple, as you will see in our hemp seed recipes below.

But why should we produce hemp milk when we can easily buy soy milk in the shops. Well, may you did not read about the studies with soy that seem to indicate that it is not really a human food, and more like a waste animal product that has been marketed as a food? Studies that show how soy negatively affects fertility (see 'soy and infertility') as well as being an issue to many who are actually allergic to soy without realising it (see 'Where the Soys Are'). Soy has many dangers worth looking at on the raw food site www.alivefoods.com. Soy milk and soy protein may both show as an allergy with symptoms that include bloating. Sadly soy is hidden in many products as 'vegetable protein' in 'vegetable oil' and MSG as well as other food additives worth staying away from.

Here at Hemp Foods Australia, we recommend a whole food diet with foods as close to nature as possible. And hemp milk is so simple and close to nature. To make this vegan, gluten-free and certified organic hemp milk you may follow this simple recipe as below.

You already know that our organic hemp seeds contain a balance of omega-3, omega-6, omega-9 and GLA, as well as a full high quality protein that contains all 10 amino acids. And your hemp milk does too!

And of course, first you will need to buy organic hemp seeds. The only tool you need is a blender. We recommend the Vita Mix blender, though any other blender will also work.

Eating hemp seeds actually made more of a difference to my skin than any skin cream I have used. I mean, after just 2 weeks it has really made a difference that lasts. I use the seeds daily.
