Easy Hemp Falafels

Easy Hemp Falafels

 

Ingredients

1 can chickpeas, drained + rinsed

1/4 cup hemp seeds

1 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp ground coriander

1/2 tsp paprika

1 cloves garlic, minced

1 spring onion, diced

1/2 cup parsley, stalks removed

1/2 cup coriander, stalks removed

Pinch salt & pepper  

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp chickpea flour

juice 1 lemon 

 

Whipped tahini

1/4 cup tahini

Juice 1 lemon

1 tsp maple

1/2 tsp sea salt

3-4 tbsp water

 

Directions

Pre heat oven to 200C.

Add all your ingredients to a food processor and pulse until all the ingredients have mixed well 

together. Roll into balls with your hands, then cover the balls in some extra hemp seeds and place 

evenly spread apart on a lined baking tray. Drizzle over some olive oil and bake in the oven for 20 

minutes, take out and turn the falafel over and bake for a further 15 minutes.

Allow too cool for 10 minutes.

Serve with some whipped tahini, pickled onions, greens, pomegranate seeds and pita breads.

 

For the whipped tahini - add all ingredients into a bowl or blender and whisk until smooth.
