Double Chocolate and Macadamia Protein Easter Treats

Ingredients

1/3  cup Essential Hemp Chocolate Protein Powder
1/4  cup oat flour (blend rolled oats into a powder if oat flour is unavailable)
1/4 cup Hulled Hemp Seeds
1/4 cup Rice malt syrup
2 tbs Maple Syrup
2 tsp cup Hemp Food Australia Grounded ABC spread (or other Grounded spread of choice)
2 tbs coconut butter (not oil) Alternatively, add two extra tablespoons of nut butter.
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup vegan chocolate chips
1/4 cup macadamia nuts - chopped
 
Optional - 100g chocolate of choice for dipping.
 

METHOD

Mix all wet ingredients and salt together until well combined.

Add Hemp protein powder, hulled hemp seeds and oat flour and mix until well combined.

Add in chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts and combine well.

The mixture will become thick, almost like a dough, and you may need to be lightly kneaded to combine all the ingredients together properly.

 

Roll 25g – 30g portions between your fingers to form a tight ball, or an egg shape if preferred!

 

Chill in the fridge for several hours or overnight.

 

Optional: To make these treats even more decadent, once the balls are chilled, dip them in melted chocolate to coat and then roll in hemp seeds.

 

Note: The mix may feel very oil – this is normal. The oil will absorb as the mixture sits in the fridge for several hours.
