Hemp Foods Australia has been named a finalist in Premier’s 2016 NSW Export Awards. The company will be recognized for its achievements at a gala dinner and award ceremony at The Star, Pyrmont on 26 October 2016.

“We are excited and honored to be a finalist in the NSW Export Awards.” said Paul Benhaim, founder and CEO of Hemp Foods Australia. “Our company has put forth a tireless effort to bring the best quality hemp products to the people of our great home country and internationally, and it is great to see our hard work paying off.”

Hemp Foods Australia is the largest hemp food wholesaler, retailer, manufacturer and exporter in the Southern Hemisphere. In addition to its popularity across Australia, the company’s high-quality hemp seeds, hemp oils and hemp protein powder are distributed in South Korea and in Japan through its sister company Hemp Foods Japan. In July 2016, Paul Benhaim held a highly publicized discussion with First Lady of Japan Akie Abe regarding the use of hemp as a viable alternative in Japanese industry. The meeting, which took place at the Kyoto Hemp Forum, included high-profile hemp industry entrepreneurs and thought leaders from around the world.

The Premier NSW Export Awards is an annual celebration of best-in-class exporters of goods and services from the New South Wales region. Each year, the Export Council of Australia picks finalists from 12 industries in tandem with the NSW government. The award ceremony promotes excellence in Australian industry and also serves as a promotional tool for nominees to showcase their achievements.

“The NSW Export Awards are a great display of the surging success of Australian business owners,” Paul Benhaim stated. “We hope that Hemp Foods Australia can serve as a case study of success for entrepreneurs across the country. In addition, the NSW Export Awards are a great forum to continue the conversation about the incredible benefits of increasing the usage of hemp in our national economy.”
